Hug your kids

Sometimes through the busy days we forget the easy stuff... hugging our kids, watching them giggle and play... We get wrapped up in our own things, busy doing this busy doing that - and forget to slow down and take it all in.
My oldest son walked away from a terrible car accident yesterday..luck? fate? I dont know -Call it what you want.. ..all I know is, I'm not taking the days for granted.    So this may not be photography related - but just a reminder to everyone reading - slow down - there is NOTHING more important than sitting down with your family for dinner, for a movie, for an evening together.  Everything else is beans.
HUG YOUR KIDS. Watch them play, giggle, grow.

Where are all the Seniors?

A few people ask... there is no way to keep up! is my answer!  I've had so many senior sessions this year, I couldnt keep up posting them to my blog.  So I'll put a few on now, and then a few later (so if you dont see your picture here, dont despair - lol!) *beware - this may get lengthy!
I just have to say - Seniors kids are so much fun - each with so much personality  :)

Kittens kittens kittens!

yes, we have 5 beautiful kittens at the farm and these 2 cuties found them and adooored them! (in fact, I think tried to sneak one in the car to take home!)

I really try in a session to get very natural expressions from the kids, doing naturally what they want to do...play with kittens, sit quietly (when we say we have to put the kittens away- hhaha) run and play, dancing.  Ya, sometimes, I'll ask them to hold hands and walk over there to look at something...and then jump like a mad man to get them turn around - but hey - gotta do what you gotta do! right?

HELP!

Is a common email I get after someone gets to see their images for the first time..  How are they going to decorate their walls? 
Well, here are few samples of ways you can.  The first one uses ledges and frames and prints in diffferent sizes.  Dont have a frame yet for that 16x20? Dont worry about it... Get a small easle and set it on that or just lean it against the wall, since it is on matboard.

The next one uses those 10x20 storyboards that everyone loves!!  Put 4 together around a large photo  (a 20x30) in the middle and wahhlaa! You have a great wall display!

Lions and tigers and bears OH MY!

I say that because when this little cutie arrived at the farm she was a little nervous of all the little "creatures" there.. too many thing flying and scurrying by her - made her feel a little uneasy...  Thats ok, I'd be a little nervous too around if I wasnt familiar! She settled right in and we had a wonderful session...her adorable smile never left her face :)  Even played some dress up at the end :)

Fortunate

I'm so fortunate in that I get to photograph kids.. they are all so beautiful and each session is unique and I love making a connection with them..  We even shared a preztel stick at the end of this session -~ thanks!!
